If you are looking for an LED TV right now, your only choice is Samsung as they are the pioneer of the technology and the first on to bring it to market. All you have to do is go into your local Best Buy or other electronics store and you will be amazed at the picture quality and especially by how thin these flat screens are.
LED flat screen TV”s are clearly going to be a big hit and will no doubt totally replace the LCD televisions. However, since they are so new, these LED flatscreens are expensive, costing double or more what the same size would be for either LCD or plasma. The LED backlighting technology uses 40% less energy so you will make back a little through energy savings but not nearly enough to offset the higher price.
New technology always costs more when it first comes out. All you have to do is remember what the plasma flat screens cost at the beginning and how cheap they are now. Eventually the price will drop for LED’s as more units are produced and they become more mainstream.
